EAB Archive 2000-00-00 Move from London

Farewell to London!

The Headquarters of the Association is now temporarily located in Ipswich. All administrative and membership matters, bookselling and the tape lending library will function normally. Please note that the Butler Library is now in temporary storage near Stoke-on-Trent and is therefore inaccessible.

Next year the Headquarters of the Association and the Butler Library will move to Wedgwood Memorial College, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent. At present a contract with the College is being prepared and architectural plans finalised for the conversion and new-build which will be necessary.

The Association will endeavour to deliver a first class service to its members and members of the public during this transitional period. The media can be assured that information re Esperanto will still be available.

Members are encouraged to inform their Esperanto-speaking colleagues concerning the important changes which are in process.

Esperanto Centre Alive & Kicking in Ipswich

Our Secretary Eric Walker and Management Committee Member Fraser Dumbar have overcome the tribulations of the recent move to the temporary HQ in Ipswich and are running all aspects of the Association from the new location. Recently a part-time member of staff has been appointed to assist in the administration of the Association.

We would ask that you make full normal use of the Association during this time to assist us in analysing procedures, workload etc. before the final move to Wedgwood Memorial College. So business as usual!
