The programme

Download congress programme (as 2 MB PDF file).

It's a great honour for us to welcome as guest speaker the polish film-maker and author Roman Dobrzynski, whose works include the film Bona Espero and the book La Zamenhof-strato. Mr Dobrzynski spends the winter in Brazil at Bona Espero, the Esperanto farm and school, and will present a lecture on that topic.

The programme will also include a quiz, lectures about Springboard to Languages, about Esperanto-ballads, and a celebration when two Esperanto-federations - the North-West and the Yorkshire and Humberside - celebrate their centenaries.

Catering for beginners

Beginners and post-beginners are welcome to join the congress. We're arranging special sessions for you, including language tuition and conversation groups, conducted by experienced Esperanto-speakers. Some of these will coincide with the keynote lectures, so if you feel 45 minutes of fluent Esperanto is a bit much, you will find something less stressful.
