Back in stock we have Hugh Reid's follow-up to his earlier work La tago de Kiborgiĝo / The Day We Became Cyborg.
Like its predecessor, Kuprokranio / Silverskull is a bilingual Esperanto-English collection of thought-provoking sci-fi stories by the Scottish author Hugh Reid. It can be read independently of La tago de Kiborgiĝo / The Day We Became Cyborg.
Technology has progressed. After the first human to animal consciousness link, the interest of these experiments moved from small mammals like rats to more intelligent animals – cats, dogs, dolphins, chimpanzees – until finally the day arrived when two living human brains were to combine consciousness. But something unexpected appeared in the results. In these stories the questions raised in the first collection have widened. What could we change in a person with a perfected cerebral implant, how would our personal relationships change, and what could humans become if this science were free to expand?
