Exams
EAB offers a range of exams that help you test your level of proficiency in Esperanto. You don't have to be taking, or have taken, an EAB distance learning course in order to take an EAB exam. There are three available levels. Since we only allow one re-take at a given level, we recommend that you try the appropriate specimen exam first. Please note that we only accept for exams people resident in the UK or British people living overseas.
General rules
- Candidates for all the exams may work at home, but the work must be unaided and a form must be signed to this effect. Use of dictionaries and other text books is allowed.
- Candidates for the Elementary and Intermediate exams must complete and return the papers within a month. Candidates for the Advanced exam have two months in which to complete the exam.
- The examiners' decision is final. In case of failure (to submit answers or to achieve the pass mark), there is no refund of the original fee, but the candidate may take one re-sit (attempting a different question paper).
