Brita Kongreso 2026

Our annual conference, La Brita Kongreso de Esperanto, will be held in Leicester from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26, 2025. There are two venues: the event will start at 17:00 in the Y Theatre (7 East Street, Leicester, LE1 6EY) on the Friday, a five-minute walk away from railway station. The daytime programmes on the Saturday and Sunday will take place from St Martins House Conference Centre (7 Peacock Lane, Leicester, LE1 5PZ). There will also be an evening programme on the Saturday from the Y Theatre.

Entrance to the event costs a flat £100 (including VAT) for everybody. (No reductions based on age, where you're coming from, or whether you want to participate in only part of the programme.) Because the conference is a collection of members of the public, attendees will have to be at least 18 years of age unless agreed in advance otherwise beforehand. (Contact form.) We can offer financial support to people who are resident in the UK, particularly if this will be their first conference. Drop us a line, telling us a bit about yourself, and we'll have a chat.

Refreshments are included with the ticket price, as is a buffet on the Friday evening. It is possible to order optional light lunches for the Saturday and/or the Sunday, to be purchased separately.

Although the conference ends on the Sunday evening there will be optional activities afterwards, including a group meal on the Sunday, and excursions on the Monday and Tuesday. These are not included in the conference ticket price.

Important: If you are coming from outside the UK, please be informed that you will require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the country. Applying for an ETA costs £16 and doesn't take much time. Apply here. (Don't use other services; some fraudulent ones exist to try to make a lot of money.) If you are country for which a visa is required to enter the UK, you must apply for a visa rather than an ETA.
