The exercises and film clips are entirely in Esperanto.
Contents
Kiel vi fartas? [How are you?] (Beginner) Indrani BEHARRY-LALL (Aruba / Australia) Nova organizaĵo [A new organisation] (Beginner) Nguyen Thi Thanh NGA (Vietnam) Taglibro ĉina [Chinese Diary] (Beginner/Advanced) Paul GUBBINS (Britain) Esperantlingva Verkista Asocio [Esperanto-language writer's association] (Advanced) Spomenka STIMEC (Croatia) La valoro de Esperanto  [The value of Esperanto] (Advanced) Marjorie BOULTON (Britain) La Dingling-maŭzoleo  [The Dingling mausoleum] (Advanced) CHEN Lina (Ĉina) Neologisme [New words] (Advanced) John FRANCIS (Scotland) Mia viv-aventuro [My life adventure] (Advanced) Barbara PIETZRAK (Poland) Aktiva esperantisto [An active Esperantist] (Advanced) Atilio Orellana ROJAS (Argentina / Netherlands) Akordo (Advanced) AKORDO (Netherlands) The disc contains 12 graded exercises and short films (each 1-3 min.), in which well-known and less-well-known esperantists from various parts of the world speak about a variety of topics..
The disc is suitable for individual/home use, or group/classroom work. Its recommended, if possible, to work through the exercises in pairs; that way you don't just listen and read passively, but also actively speak the language.
Through the different voices presented, the film clips will accustom your ear to the range of accents audible (for example) in interational meetings. Thus the film clips don't claim to present 'model' pronunciation (if such a thing really exists): on the contrary, they capture natural spoken language.
At the same time as watching the film clips, you'll learn about several aspects of Esperanto society and culture, and also get to know several eminent Esperantists.
The disc contains material for a computer; only play it in a computer. The computer must have the ability to show Unicode HTML-pages and to play MPG films. It plays the material from the disc itself, so doesn't use space on your hard drive, and only needs an internet connection if you click on the links to "more details" about the speakers.
Publisher: EAB, Barlaston. Year: 2007. ISBN: 9780901757234.
